The event honouring International Women’s Day was organised by the project FEMIGLA at the Old Church Slavonic Institute in Zagreb on March 7th.
The welcoming words were given by the project lead Ana Šimić, PhD; the director of the Old Church Slavonic Institute, Vida Vukoja, PhD; and by the representative of the Croatian Science Foundation, Dario Lečić, PhD.
In the first part of the event the FEMIGLA project was presented with regard to the research subject, its relevance and the chosen interdisciplinary methodological framework. The research group including eleven members and the five research objectives were also introduced.
The project’s presentation was held by the project lead, who was joined by four collaborators: Igor Medić, PhD (Old Church Slavonic Institute); Jozo Vela, PhD (Old Church Slavonic Institute); associate professor Saša Potočnjak, PhD (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka); and full professor Sanja Cvetnić, PhD (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb).
After a break the event continued with a research workshop entitled Female character in literature and visual art through the perspective of contemporary theories. The workshop was led by project collaborators from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb: full professor Sanja Cvetnić, PhD, and associate professor Dolores Grmača, PhD.
