Associate Professor Dr. Saša Potočnjak (University of Rijeka, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences), collaborator on the FEMIGLA project, conducted a research on the island of Cres from November 6 to 8, 2025.

Her research was conducted in the archives of the Third-order Franciscan Monastery of St. Jerome in Martinšćića and the archives of the Conventuals of St. Francis in the town of Cres. In addition, she studied the epigraphic fragments of the Third-order Franciscan Church of St. Mary of the Angels on Bijar in Osor.

The Glagolitic manuscripts included in this field research relate to a number of tertiary monasteries and parishes on the island of Cres where Glagolitic liturgy was celebrated. They also shed light on certain aspects of women’s daily lives on the island.
